Novartis had ambitious goals to refresh their Indonesia headquarters whilst having minimal interruption to their growing business operations. It was critical that in refreshing their headquarters, they could entrust to a single contact point to deliver the project on time and on budget.   

Novartis is a multinational healthcare company head quartered in Basel, Switzerland. Indonesia is a key market for Novartis as there is fast-growing demand for access to high-quality medicines and healthcare.

 Novartis aims to develop innovative products in growing areas of healthcare at the same time, expanding their presence in the emerging markets of Asia.

Novartis is located at AXA tower, Kuningan in central Jakarta with 220 employees spaced over 2,730 sqm of space. The challenge was to design and deliver a refreshed headquarters with more emphasis on agile workspaces and a more modern and fresh feel.

Since the business is operational this would be a ‘live’ refurbishment requiring a three-phases in which some existing furniture would be used for the new refurbishment. JLL were engaged to manage the overall project including planning, cost management, procurement, implementation, coordination, reporting, contract administrator for the project and move management.

The design was delivered in line with the requirement to introduce open collaborative space to better accommodate agile workspaces and to increase collaboration. Wood finishes, white aesthetic with a dash accent colors were applied to strike balance between casual and formal office environment.
